Loma Linda University Medical Center and is a 797-bed tertiary care facility and serves an area roughly equal to 25 percent of the State of California. The emergency department evaluates more than 58,000 patients a year. The acuity of the adult patients is high. Twenty four percent of patients are admitted and thirty percent of admitted patients are admitted to an ICU. As a tertiary care facility, LLUMC commonly treats patients with unusual or complicated medical conditions. There is an active medicine service, cancer center, intensive care unit, and coronary care unit.

Riverside County Regional Medical Center (RCRMC)

Riverside County Regional Medical Center evaluates more than 65,000 patients each year in its emergency department. The hospital is one of the largest centers in Riverside County. The hospital is newly constructed a modern, state of the art, and opened its doors in 1998 tertiary care facility. Medicine Residents treat the diversity are exposed to a wide variety of clinical diseases, including the treatment of illnesses typical of an indigent population. As RCRMC is the designated county hospital, residents are exposed to a significant amount of unusual and interesting pathology gain valuable experience working in a public healthcare system.
 

Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Veterans Affairs Medical Center

VA

The Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Veterans Affairs Medical Center is a 560-bed facility located in the city of Loma Linda, just a few blocks from Loma Linda University Medical Center. It is one of the top 50 employers in the Inland Empire with over 2,100 employees that serve over 57,000 veterans who entrust their healthcare needs to the VA. The Medical Center provides a wide variety of services through inpatient, outpatient, and home care programs. Here the resident gains valuable anesthesia experience with regional, major vascular, and oncology procedures. Rotations in internal medicine include acute care medicine, intensive care, ambulatory care, and subspecialty care including nephrology and infectious disease.

East Campus Hospital

Situated half a mile to the East, this hospital provides exposure to orthopedic, spine, and reconstructing surgery, along with chronic pain procedures.

Heart and Surgical Hospital

Another half mile to the East, this facility is the center for adult general surgery, gynecologic, urologic, bariatric and robotic procedures.

Preanesthesia Education (PACE) Clinic

This freestanding clinic serves evaluates over 20,000 patients scheduled for elective surgery within the LLUH system, serving both pediatric and adult patients. and The clinic utilizes a telemedicine and electronic medical record system, which facilitates perioperative readiness.
