A new baby can never replace your precious baby who has died. It is important that you take the time to grieve the baby you have loss in order to move forward in welcoming a new baby in a healthy way. Only you will know when it is right to try to become pregnant again.
Pregnancy after loss can be very challenging emotionally. You will find yourself balancing feelings of grief for the baby you have lost with the love and attachment of your new bably. This can bring feelings of anxiety and fears, as well as a growing love and a sense of hope for the future.
Loma Linda Children's Hospital has a support group called "Hopeful Journey" for mothers who are pregnant following the loss of a baby.
