Benign Tumors

Benign tumors in the prostate or testicular region are not cancer, but should be promptly examined and treated by a qualified physician. The urology department at Loma Linda University Medical Center is extremely experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of such tumors.

Typically, benign tumors will present themselves with swelling or pain or may be detected during a regular medical exam. While most of the procedures used to treat benign urologic tumors are performed at our outpatient facility, some may require hospitalization. In some situations, robotic surgery can be used to remove benign prostatic hyperplasia as well.
