Critical Care Transport Program
The intrafacility critical care transport team consists of highly trained nurses functioning in an expanded practice role to manage patients who require transport for diagnostic procedures. Specialized care is provided during the transport and throughout the diagnostic procedure. The patient population, ranging from newborn to geriatric, can present with a wide variety of medical, surgical and/or traumatic disorders.
The interfacility critical care transport team is nurse managed and consists of highly trained nurses functioning in an expanded practice role to provide specialized care for adult patients who require transport between facilities via ambulance, helicopter or fixed wing aircraft.
