Pulmonary Hypertension


Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) is high blood pressure in the lungs. The word pulmonary indicates something to do with the lungs. Hypertension means high blood pressure.Signs and symptoms of PH include shortness of breath, fatigue, chest pain, swelling of legs, and fainting, which could also be seen in many other diseases thus making diagnosis of PH challenging. Treatment of PH is equally perplexing with medications ranging from oral pills to inhaled medication to continuous injections under the skin or through a vein.
