Non Tuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM) & Bronchiectasis Clinic

Non Tuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM) are cousins of tuberculosis but do not cause disease in most individuals. Patients with NTM commonly also have bronchiectasis, in bronchiectasis the walls of the smaller airways are thickened from long-term inflammation and scarring.

Our Mission

  • Provide personalized innovative advanced practice in clinical care for patients with obstructive lung disease (i.e., chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchiectasis and asthma) with the goal to provide hope and improve quality of life in those who are experiencing breathlessness.
  • Provide and develop interactive ongoing education for patients and families in the treatment of obstructive lung disease (i.e., chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchiectasis and asthma).
  • Conduct and participate in clinical and translational research studies evaluating novel therapies regarding obstructive lung disease.
  • Provide an educational environment for new specialists, residents and medical students in pulmonary medicine.
