Chief Residents Bios

I was born and raised in the Bay Area before moving to Southern California for medical school at Loma Linda University. It was when I moved to Loma Linda that I found a sense of passion for family and lifestyle medicine as well as being a patient advocate for underserved populations.  I am extremely grateful and excited for my upcoming journey over the next few years as I better learn to provide whole person care to my patients. I couldn’t have asked for a better cohort of intelligent, kind-hearted and motivated individuals to further the mission of Jesus Christ. In my free time, I enjoy working out, watching the Golden State Warriors and SF 49ers games, traveling the world, and spending time with my beautiful wife, Kelsey, and fur child, Momo.

Well met! I’m a California native, born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. I traveled negligibly east for undergrad at UC Berkeley, and then moved north to the Sacramento County as part of the inaugural class of California Northstate University College of Medicine. I’m now fortunate to explore the southern parts of California by training in the LLUHEC Family Medicine Residency. I was drawn to the program for many reasons, but particularly because of the opportunity to train in academic, community, and spiritual settings. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, playing board games and mahjong with my family, and watching Disney/Pixar movies and the NHL. 

I am a San Francisco-native who ventured to the East Coast to earn a B.S. in biopsychology at Tufts University. During my time as an undergrad, I explored interests in medicine and travel through a semester abroad in Denmark where I studied medical practice and policy. Following my passions for medicine and cultural immersion, I pursued a medical degree at the University of Queensland School of Medicine-Ochsner Clinical School. Through the program, I had the privilege of living and studying in both beautiful Brisbane, Australia and vibrant New Orleans, where I learned that I am happiest when serving my local community. I decided on a career in family medicine because it offers the opportunity to treat a diverse demographic through a holistic approach, while simultaneously building genuine, long-term relationships with patients. I am excited to continue my medical training at Loma Linda. My ever-growing clinical interests range from women’s health to global health to addiction medicine. I also hope to expand competencies in health advocacy and healthcare access for underserved populations. Outside of medicine, I enjoy hiking, open water swimming, rock climbing, drinking coffee, eating snacks, and going to concerts and live shows.
